The Serpent Coffee Table features a hand-laid straw marquetry top, where a natural-toned serpent, reminiscent of Victorian snake jewelry motifs, winds through sweeping bands of gold, brown, and black straw. The changing direction of the straw creates a luminous surface that shifts with the light, lending depth and movement to the graphic composition. The tabletop is finished with a protective lacquer to enhance durability while preserving the natural sheen of the straw. An architectural base in gloss-lacquered ribbon-stripe sapele complements the warm tones of the composition.

This piece is crafted from natural straw material it will show natural variation in color, straw pattern, and texture. Subtle shade differences are part of the material’s character, not defects. No two pieces are exactly alike, so yours may differ slightly from the photos shown.
The coffee table top is finished in a lacquer which allows for easy clean up without losing the texture of straw marquetry as you brush your hand across the surface of the table top.
