Introducing: Amica
For NYC Design Week 2026, Assembly Line presents Amica, a new collection of lighting from Christopher Merchant and Aaron and Irisa Chan-Kawabi.
Amica draws on the designers' shared passion for handmade materials and craft, while bringing together their distinct design sensibilities. The resulting pieces pair Merchant's expressive, hand-built ceramic bases with Kawabi’s voluminous, flowing shades, crafted from Japanese kozo paper.
On view through May 14 - July 16 at Assembly Line Annex. Schedule a viewing.
Thoughtfully Designed Objects for Your Home
The Outdoor Edit
Set your patio for summer with outdoor furniture, textiles and lighting defined by unexpected silhouettes and materials
The Residence
Our latest shoppable design gallery at 144 Vanderbilt Ave in Brooklyn, offers a grounded, quietly expressive vision of contemporary living.
The latest iteration of The Residence marks the first collaborative project between Assembly Line and Los Angeles-based design studio Kalon, anchored by an expansive installation of their furniture.
Fern: Junctions
Junctions, the latest collection of lighting and furniture by Jason Roskey of Fern, is crafted entirely in the Hudson Valley. Working with parchment, fiberglass, metal, and wood, the pieces investigate the interplay of weight and lightness.
Selections now on view at our Brooklyn storefront.
New In Hardware
Discover fresh hardware finds from Ellis Works. With designs rooted in artisanal heritage and shaped by modernity, their hand finished cabinet knobs, pulls, and door systems are as considered as the spaces they live in.
FRAMA Copenhagen
We are delighted to present furniture and objects by the Danish design brand, FRAMA, whose work connects the imaginative with the practical, resulting in a uniquely warm and honest aesthetic.

"Conveniently located in Boerum Hill, a must-stop locale for design-loving Brooklynites, Assembly Line opened in January of this year as a one-stop shop for home improvement. But cast aside any visions you may have of musty hardware stores, because Assembly Line—the brainchild of architecture and design studio General Assembly—is expertly appointed."
"A recent client booked an in-store session to get design advice for her new-build and white-box condo. The client prepped with a targeted action list, and the designers recommended light fixtures, paint colors, and an area rug to accommodate ample floor playtime that’s part of the client’s lifestyle."
“The duo behind Brooklyn studio General Assembly is putting inspiration to good use with their new one-stop shop for interior design.”
