Assembly Line Annex features an ongoing program of solo presentations and group shows that spotlight established and emerging brands and designers focused on material experiments and craft.

Amica, a lighting collaboration from Christopher Merchant and Aaron and Irisa Chan-Kawabi, is on view May 15 - July 16.

Amica draws on the designer's shared passion for handmade and well crafted objects, while bringing together their distinct design sensibilities.

The resulting pieces pair Merchant’s expressive, hand-built ceramic bases with Kawabi’s voluminous, flowing shades, crafted from Japanese kozo paper.
